The buzzing streets of New York pulsed as always, filled to the brim with people hurrying through the streets, perhaps on their way to a meeting or a rendezvous with a lover, a date with a partner or just a quite day with a friend in the mall. It was just about 5:30 pm, every worker and every kid was on their way home. Friday, the last workday of the week. Of course the streets were clogged. Yelling, screaming, honking horns, the rush hour had made it impossible to drive through the streets. Somewhere in Times Square a young man of 25 were taking it easy, leaning back in the seat of his car, smoking a cigarette and watching the giant monitors everywhere. He blinked as a snow flake landed on the wind shield. He turned on the radio. It warned about a coming snow storm. He cursed, hoping that he would make it home before the snow hit. Then he blinked again. The streets were darker. The monitors had gone black, every single one of them. Then they flicked to light again. All of them showed a man standing in shadows behind a woman strapped in a chair, blindfolded and gagged. The yelling dissipated and people started getting out of the cars, mesmerized by the images. Suddenly a low voice thundered over them.
"Habitants of New York City. For almost ten years you have lived in a paranoid state of fear and anger since 9/11. You have done well indeed. I am proud of you, really, I am. But we have to have a sincere talk, you and I..."
The man stepped out into the light. He was wearing a black costume and sun glasses, a tactical vest and black leather gloves. His hair was roughed and stubbles on his chin. He drew a revolver and cocked it. There was a whimper from the woman and a gasp from the audience in the streets.
"The US has always bought its freedom and wealth from the sufferings of others. America, the land of the free, home of the brave, profits from the pain of others. World War 2, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan... all campaigns which have ultimately lead to profit for the American Government. Their suffering... my suffering, has fed you for the last 60 years. To the point where I can't stand idly by any more. Something must be done. So I will educate you in true suffering..."
The man raise his pistol and aim at the woman's head. She whines in fear and another gasp escapes the citizens of New York.
"I will count to three, then I will execute this woman. To prove a point. That you have become degenerated, sick and wrong. Because as I count down, none of you will look away. When I reach zero, a few of you will do so. To you I say congratulations, you are not my enemies. The majority, however, will not look away until the deed is done. Those men and women are the rotten core that this country was built on. Three..."
More people are getting out of their cars. The young man leans forward and looks up at the closest monitor through the wind shield.
"Two..."
Total silence falls over the square. A cops does the sign of the cross and a woman holds her children tight so that they can't see.
"One..."
Some people start yelling out some feeble no's, the woman close her eyes tight and the young man's eyes widen. The man on the monitors pulls the trigger and the woman's head is broken like an egg from the force of the shot. She falls over with the chair and people scream out, just now hiding their faces in their hands. The young man's jaw drops.
"You will remember that image the rest of your lives, New York. Just like the image of the towers crashing to the ground, you will remember this young woman's death. And whenever you do so, you will also remember these words: You are the degenerate that watched this woman die. You are Sick. You are Wrong."
Light flickers behind the man and the room he is standing in lights up. People open their eyes and see hundreds of people, tied and gagged in chairs, each with a bomb strapped to their chest. The room is finely decorated in a baroque style with an American flag hanging on the wall.
"Those of you who want to be heroes can find me where this country began. Come prepared and be quick, you have until midnight."
The monitors went black and the street started buzzing with voices. The young man picks up another cigarette with a trembling hand, and lights it. As it burns, he can see the image burned into his mind. He's sick. He's wrong. He's degenerate.

Seraphim turned her face away from the TV before he even counted to two. She heard the gunshot and her eyes closed even hardy. She looked at Wolverine who stood there in anger staring at him. "Damnit. We can't have them dieing." Storm sat there looking at Seraphim responding to wolverine's comment. "Shall I assemble a Team Logan?" Wolverine's ferocity began grew deep. He looked over at Seraphim and Storm and said "Get Bishop over here fast then where out." Storm looked and said "With what members?" Wolverine turned to her and said "Seraphim, You, Me and Bishop are all we need to stop this kid."
Seraphim suited up immediatly in her long black leather garb. Her hair fell down her side as she looked at Bishop who was comming from the Tactical room. She sighed and said "Bishop do you think this is safe?" Bishop only shook his head and said "Baby Girl nothing is for now. We'll have to rely on others for support." Wolverine came from the corner as well suited in his X-men uniform and said "Were not takin' Pretty Boy or his followers along" Wolverine said as he opened the door to the X-Jet. Seraphim only sighed and said "Wolverine is this safe?" Wolverine turned to Seraphim in anger and said "Did you not see that Girl get killed. He's getting whats comming to him. Bloodshed." Seraphim agreed. She sat in the Third seat behind storm on the plane and waited for Wolverine to give instructions. Soon after her mother ran on board and sat down across from her on wolverine's side. "Psylocke?" Storm said as she turned around. "I couldn't Miss the fun" She said.

Cyclops sat outside with Emma discussing his plans for the Mutants here at the school. Emma could feel that something was going on so she tuned into one of the mutants head who was watching T.V. Instantly she backed out as she could sensed what was happening. "DEMON!" She yelled. She quickly explained to Cyclops what was going on and Cyclops assembled a team. "Angel, Shadowcat, Collosus, Emma, Beast we have a situatoin." He said to them as they stood in an Arch around him. "Wolverine has already Taken a Team out to Philadelphia. We must go and Provide Tactical back up. Wether he wants it or not."

Alexander had seen the entire thing through and had already left before anyone noticed him leaving the room, images of berlin flashed through his head as he made his way to the hangar he did not care if he was going to be reprimanded for what he was about to do but knew that there was only one thing he could do, besides it wasnt like a gun could kill him.
he took one of smaller flying transports and had already left by the time the team logan had prepared arrived in the hangar. he made his way through the air to philadelphia, with only one thing on his mind the entire way. no more innocent people were going to get hurt. he could hear a voice over the communication system telling him to come back to base immediatly, he shut it off and landed his craft soon after. he looked at the place where the nation began and turned himself into his diamond form, ready for anything.

Ash had been travelling to manhattan to the xavier institute so that he could gain some more control over his mutant abilities, but had found himself travelling through Philidalphia on his way to. He had just finished eating a fantastic meal when his head started throbbing so hard that he fell over the table sending his plate and other condiments flying all over hitting other patrons. Several people rushed to his aide but Ash was already on his feet with a pissed off look on his face. Something bad was happening and for some reason he wanted to be there.

Rayne approached the X-Helicopter where the team was located. He turned to Cyclops and said "I'm ready Cyclops." Immediatly Cyclops turned around and noticed Rayne in a X-men Uniform. He smiled and said "Great we are in need of Members. I believe your Classmate Rayne is with Wolverine. Protect her please." Angel looked out of the helicopter and poked his head at his teammates. "I'll fly Ahead inspect the situation. The rest of you follow behind." With that Angel took of. Rayne knew he would be able to keep up with him so instantly Rayne's body was lifted by fire and he followed Angel. Cyclops cared not for he had given his instructions to Rayne already. "Alright X-men Move out!"

Once Ash got his bearing again, the only thing he could think of doing was the one thing that caused him so much pain. So he grabbed his bottle of pain killers from his tattered denim coat and choked down 3 pills. After taking his pills he closed his eyes and focused on the largest and closest mutant in the city, and nearly collapsed again. "Not that far" Ash said in a rather pained tone as he clutched at his head. The pills he took would take some time to take effect on him, but he had to go to where this powerful mutant was. So he stood up again against the wishes of the people trying to help him, and took off out of the eatery towards the mutant.

The man walked around the room, surveying the captured people. Caught in webs of a nightmare they probably had not counted on falling into tonight. There was sobbing, thrashing, mumbling. He stopped as he recognized the rhythm of a prayer. He looked down at the girl, who whispered words of the Catholic dogma into her gag. He stood there for a while and watched. Not only did he recognize the rhythm, he started on the prayer itself. He crouched down in front of her and she fell silent. He took her hand in his. It was so small, she couldn't be more than twelve. And yet she knew...
"Don't worry, child, we will finish it together."
He reached out and removed the gag. She gasped for air and sobbed. Then they started yet again.
"From your wrath, deliver them O Lord From the danger of death, deliver them O Lord From an evil death, deliver them O Lord From the pains of hell, deliver them O Lord From all evil, deliver them O Lord From the power of the devil, deliver them O Lord Through your Nativity, deliver them O Lord Through your Cross and Passion, deliver them O Lord Through your Death and Burial, deliver them O Lord Through your holy Resurrection, deliver them O Lord Through your wonderful Ascension, deliver them O Lord Through the grace of the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, deliver them O Lord In the day of Judgement, deliver them O Lord We sinners, we beseech you to hear us That you would spare them, we beseech you, hear us Lord, have mercy on them Christ, have mercy on them Lord, have mercy on them"
He reached out and removed her blindfold and looked into her eyes. She closed them, but as he removed his glasses she opened her eyelids. His eyes were grey and cold, but his soul burned with compassion within.
"You know you are about to die, child?"
She sobs and a tear runs down her cheek.
"Yes. I hoped not to... but..."
"Don't worry about it..." he said, drying her tears "I am sure the Lord will have you as you are. I am sorry."
He placed the blindfold back and gagged a faint no from her lips. A thunderous roar echoed ahead and the distinct sound of a helicopter was coming closer. X-Men. And perhaps the law enforcement. He flipped a switch and the room fell dark. His eyes adapted quickly, and as he looked out the window he could see a boy running towards the building, while a sleek aircraft landed on the lawn. Things were about to start. The evolution was at hand.
"Blessed be me, for the deaths I shall reap..."

Wolverine looked at his team and said "Fan out! Find him!" Storm raised into the air. Bishop began running East. Logan Ran west. Psylocke leaped south. Seraphim stood there and linked all of there minds together. Surprisingly she could feel someone else's mind. A small child that had been praying. She entered it and began to feel the pain that she was going through. "Where are you?" She whispered into the mind. The girl did not respond. She decided she would try to you telepathic tracking but it didn't work. She need a physical substance to hold onto. She pulled harder at the mind and said "Tell me where you are."
Cyclops team came down from the Helicopter Immediatly. He turned around and said "Team you have your orders" He walked over to Seraphim and said "Go find wolverine." Seraphim shook her head and said "I have my own orders"

He heard the jet arrive and land on the other side of the building, he wasnt really surprised by it but either way he made his towards it. as he ran up to the backside of the building Storm spotted him and quickly informed Logan and the rest of Wolverine's faction about the student. she went down and got in his way. "Glint, what are you doing here?" she asked him with slight irritation in her voice. he looked up at her and shook his head. "I won't let those hostages die." he replied his german accent slightly thicker then usual because of his anger. he started running again and quickly arrived at the back of the building. he frowned lightly as Storm tried to tell him to go to the other side of the building and regroup with the others. he ignored her as he looked at the back door, it was locked obviously. he then saw one of the ground floor windows and decided to enter by it. he looked through it to make sure there was no one in the room and proceeded to see if there was a security system installed and of course there was. he sighed lightly as he was slightly stuck not really knowing what to do. he decided to enter by the door the one way he knew how to open it, by busting it open. he began punching at the doorknob to break it, luckily it did not hold too long and he did not get a scratch on himself in the process. he pushed the door open and peered in wondering what he was going to find inside. as storm alerted the others of what glint had done.

"Calling X-Men."
Komodo sat in his Alcove and watched the scene unfold through the gamma ray perspective image on his screen. The image would have hurt any other's eyes, not to mention the radiation damage, but to Komodo it was a gateway into the situation. Inside, 77 hostages, the terrorist and a boy, possibly one of the students. Security systems shut off, all lights out. Outside the two "teams", each going for their own approach. Komodo came through, his transmission finally reaching the X-Men's ear pieces.
"Calling X-Men, this is Komodo, I have some news for you."
His tail curled around the base of his seat and he gritted his sharp teeth as he fell into concentration. His mind dove into the dimensions of the image and he now stood inside the big room, watching without being seen. Had he been there he could have reached out and knocked the terrorist out, but for now he was nothing but an observer.
"You have 77 hostages and the terrorist in the main chamber. Each of the hostages has a bomb strapped to them..."
He activated the MIL and instantly were fed info on the bombs.
"Woah, you better just stop for a moment. The rigs used to strap the bombs to their bodies are sanguinary rigs. That is the bomb is fed with the blood of the victim and analysed. If the flow stops or the blood is exchanged the bomb is detonated. The main detonator is the terrorist himself..."
Komodo's eyes widened and he fell silent for a moment.
"The detonator is rigged to the terrorists pulse, blood pressure and mental nodes. This guy seems to be one calm man. Shortly put if the man dies, is knocked unconscious, upset, anything... the bombs go off."
He sighed and rubbed his temples.
"I have two recommendations. First off, get that darn student out of there before he blows Liberty Hall to smithereens along with the hostages. Second... Cyclops, Wolverine, try to cooperate this time, this is serious. If this guy is in such control of his body that he can rig a detonator to his bodily functions, he is surely a superhuman of some sort, at the least a true professional. If you screw up in any way because you can't keep your differences out of business, we'll have 77 people on our conciousness."
Komodo brought himself out of the concentration and brought himself back to the Alcove. He zoomed out and assessed the surrounding area.
"Police should arrive in about ten minutes. Hopefully you have brought this guy down and saved the hostages before then..."

Jordan had been standing in the teacher's lounge, musing over a cup of coffee and wondering if the school could afford to put in an espresso machine when the mostly ignored television abruptly changed from the history channel to the menacing broadcast. He had seen death many times, and while he found the cold blooded kill to be distasteful, he did not turn away. Immediately after he could hear all of the commotion out in the halls and sighed. Putting down his cup, the self defense teacher vanished an reappeared in his room.
The room itself was quite plain. While most people eventually turned the standard dorm into a subtle expression of their own style, Jordan had felt perfectly content to leave it as is. Leaning down, he pulled the long, black case out from under his bed and put in the three different combination locks before popping it open. Soon after he had changed into the solid black, smooth fabric outfit that he had always worn. Sheathing his twin short swords across his back, fitting the thin pouch belt around his waste with the various tools of the trade, and fitting his communication device into his ear, Ghost turned and looked out the window and watched as several vehicles departed from the hanger.
"Komodo, I've just seen the broadcast. I'd hate to be the janitor employed there," he said as he activated the comm device. "I assume the disagreeing duo have already taken off with their respected teams. Any tactical data on the situation you would care to share? I would like to get this done with before my class this evening. And please make sure that nobody enters that building recklessly. Anyone willing to go through all of this, inviting super powered individuals no less, isn't just going to let anyone waltz in to say hello. We are going to need cohesion in this, someone needs to take tactical command and everyone needs to work together. Please pass on my thoughts to the others and make sure the big boys act like adults for this one."
With that he closed his eyes for a moment, pictured the top of the building, and vanished only to reappear on the roof and immediately looking around for any possible entrance to the vent system.

When Komodo came on the line most of the team came around the House where they where. "Wow this is where America came to be?" Logan asked as he looked at the building. Storm flew down and said "So I heard," He then looked at Psylocke who came running with Seraphim flying behind her. Bishop looked at the team and said "We have to handle this with Extreme Care" Seraphim looked and Noticed Glint and said "Hey Buddie. Don't do anything reckless." She then looked up and saw Jordan. "God Jordan you come at the wrong times. This is a job for the X-men of Wolverine."
Cyclops team appeared at the situation. And Immediatly he began giving orders. "Psylocke, Angel he to the back." Logan came behind him and punched him in his back. "Listen Cycke. This is my Mission. You came as Tactical Support. Give one more command and I'll make you go home." Cyclops couldn't say anything. He knew he had to help Logan. It's what professor X would have wanted.
Mission Time: Everyone InSpect the Building. Look for Cracks. GLINT GET INTO THE CAMERA SYSTEM Jordan Watch out for the people. Tony IDK DO SOMETHING

((ooc: This is the proper way to write out of character messages. Second off, clean up your posts before posting them, I barely understood what you were getting at. deadlybuddhist, don't waltz in twelve posts in and try to steal another character's thunder. Adding to that, you teleported across two states to a location you saw on TV, you are in fact power abusing. Now that I got those things that has been boffing my mind for two days out of the way...))
Komodo sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose.
"Jordan, I spoke to the team two minutes ago where I said those exact things... have you completely forgotten I have been a member of the X-Men for 6 years? I was here and greeted you the first time you got here, I know the procedures and tactics of every member of our team and all enemies they have ever met and..."
There was a screech as the mutant teleported in the middle of Komodo's little speech and he flinched a little. Suddenly he very well understood why humans used cursing and swearing in their everyday life.
"Team, Jordan is on his way too, although God knows how long it will take him to arrive. The security is shut down along a corridor leading straight into the room and the culprit seems to be alone, unless he has an army in there which doesn't reflect gamma ray lengths..."
Komodo stopped and almost let out a gasp. The man... he was looking right at him.
"Anyway... I suggest a part of the team enters and try negotiating with the man... meanwhile, the less charismatic part of the team can try to find a way to catch him unaware. Just don't do anything hasty."
